Vice President, Client Management and Field Development, Colonial Life
Michelle White is the Vice President of Client Management and Field Development for Colonial Life. She leads the teams responsible for maintaining strong relationships with nearly 100,000 employer clients across the United States. She also oversees the strategy for the national recruiting, onboarding, training, and development of Colonial Life's sales organization. White previously held roles with Colonial Life leading client and policyholder retention programs and with Unum in finance and claims.
Prior to joining the company in 2007, White worked as a business consultant across multiple industries, helping to evaluate, recommend, and implement operational and financial efficiencies through process redesign and system automation. She frequently volunteers with the Girl Scouts, where she also serves on the board of directors for the local council; Girl Scouts South Carolina Mountains to Midlands. She holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Connecticut and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Maine.
Director of Account Management, Colonial Life
Sheldon Cooke has 20 years of managerial experience in account management, market research and production environments. In his current role as Director of Account Management for Colonial Life, he is responsible for the team that identifies strategic efforts, prioritizes sales opportunities, and coordinates field assets to support account management for all existing accounts. In addition to his career at Colonial Life, Cooke has been a business instructor at Midlands Technical College for the last 18 years, where he has won awards for his teaching.
Cooke began his managerial career as a Production Manager for GKN Driveline, manufacturing driveshafts for companies such as Daimler-Chrysler, Mercedes-Benz, Ford, and Jeep. He also served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a Communication Center Operator, where his primary responsibility was receiving and transmitting intelligence Battalion. Throughout his Marine Corps career, Cooke was meritoriously promoted twice and received a National Defense Service Medal for serving during specified periods of armed conflict or national emergency. He is a graduate of Benedict College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Management, a Master of Arts degree from Webster University in Management, and the Executive Leadership program from Stanford University School of Business.
