We all face crippling deadlines from time to time, and no matter how hard we try, there never seems to be enough time to get everything done. Some of us feel the pressure building up day after day as we accomplish mind-numbing task after mind-numbing task, never actually getting close to our to-do list finish line.

I’m always amazed when I talk to people from other businesses and they’re complaining about some of their customers. I think to myself: “Whoa! Have you ever thought where you’d be without clients? You wouldn’t even have a business.”

The more technology develops, the less necessary it is for us to be at specific locations to get things done. Now we can work on the train, in an Uber, from a restaurant and, of course, from the comfort of our living room couches.

In a fast-moving digital age it can be difficult to draw breath let alone keep an eye on the startups that appear to be trail blazing their way to success.

Fiction loves a good business. Whether it’s in books, TV or movies, companies of every size frequently form the backdrop of compelling and captivating storylines. Sometimes, we wistfully long to be in the same fun place as the characters. Other times, we’re rooting for the evil, corporate demon to fail and fall.

Finding the right staff is a big challenge for any business, but especially so for smaller companies. And once you've found the perfect employee, getting them to stay is another issue altogether.

We've read tons of time management tips over the years, but rarely find anything that's a rare game changer. Sure, the apps are great - Evernote helps capture new ideas, and CamCard saves time off of converting business cards to contact list. But telling us to delegate where we can, prioritize a to-do list and only check your mail twice a day just doesn’t seem to work that well, even though for some it may makes total sense.
